Victron products can make use of temperature sense information to improve accuracy of battery charging. The Victron Temp Sensor data is used to adjust the charge voltages. When cold, a lead/acid battery typically needs a higher charge-voltage …and a lower charge-voltage when it’s hot.

When used with the Victron BMV-712 Smart battery monitor you can use your bluetooth enabled device to monitor battery temperature and charging parameters. The temperature sensor must be connected to the positive pole of the battery bank (one of the two wires of the sensor doubles as the power supply wire).

This temp sensor is for BMV-702/712 Smart battery monitors only.
