The Taco CA140-125P is a 37-gallon, ASME-certified bladder expansion tank engineered for hydronic heating, cooling, and pressure booster systems. Built with a carbon steel shell and a heavy-duty butyl bladder, it ensures permanent separation between air and water to manage thermal expansion reliably and efficiently.
Unlike basic compression tanks, the CA140-125P uses a replaceable bladder to contain the expanding water, while a pre-charged air cushion on the shell side absorbs pressure changes. This design minimizes air absorption into the water and reduces the need for frequent maintenance or recharging.
