I have a 8 foot tall wooden front door that had started to warp at the top about 3/4 inch. I installed the 24 inch surface bolt to bring the top of the door back to plumb. Worked great! And of course it is an excellent choice of locking device as well. The 24 inch allows my wife of 5 feet 1 inch to reach the lock handle to operate. Looks really nice with the bronze finish and style.
